A great performance… a killer mix… and we’re off to our next mega-hit. Wait a minute, one of the most important steps in getting a radio-quality major-label sound is the final mastering and IAMD is the place to go. You need high-quality mastering if you want to compete with the major label guys. At IAMD, we treat your product like it is going to be the next No.1 hit on Billboard (because it just might be). We believe mastering is more than placing your songs in the proper order, adjusting the space between each song, and matching the relative volume and tone of each song. Sure, this is part of the process, but we go much farther by striving to increase the clarity and definition of your music and to put the finishing touches on a great performance. Regardless of whether your mastering needs are simple or complex, IAMD can bring that extra “something” to your project to make it sparkle! One thing to remember though, mastering can make a good mix great and a great mix even greater. It cannot make a bad mix or a bad performance good. Get the performance on tape, get a great mix, and we’ll do the rest.

- The Silver Package $179.00 incl. CD Master and Proof
Adjust sequencing, cropping and spacing between songs to your specs, all gaps cleaned up, all levels balanced across tracks. Does not include compression, equalization, or fade outs. This is perfect for a basic mastering job. If you’re just looking to get audio cleaned up a little on anything from a single to your O2 Broadband podcast, then this will do the job. A reasonable price for a great and vital service.
The Silver mastering service is for those IAMD customers that want to move on to the next project and leave the cleanup to us. While we will not be providing any equalization, limiting, or tonal balancing, we can easily change the order of the songs to whatever you specify while making sure the levels from song to song are consistent and the heads and tails of each song are clean and properly spaced. The Silver mastering process will add extra polish to your mix.

- The Gold Package $279.00 incl. CD Master and Proof
All levels optimized for maximum sound clarity and punch. Signal processing including equalization and compression where appropriate. Song spacing and sequencing adjusted to your specs, all gaps cleaned up, between song noise eliminated, heads and tails cropping, and final fade outs where required.
Most IAMD music customers take advantage of the Gold mastering package. If you are planning to release your music to compete with major-label product, you should let us give you the edge you need by selecting Gold mastering before duplication. We guarantee to add that extra sparkle, air, and bottom that even the best final mixes cannot quite seem to find.

- The Platinum Package $75.00/hour with 1 hour minimum.
Custom mastering, audio surgery, EQ, compression, and digital audio repair on a per
song basis. Can be combined with all services offered in either the Gold or Silver
mastering packages.
Normally, your master will not need Platinum mastering services. This service is for audio that requires
extra special attention to details such as removal of distortion, limited re-balancing of instruments, and
other surgical procedures.

Please note that we will not provide any mastering services unless requested. We do check all masters for basic errors that could affect the duplication process and will notify you if we find anything questionable or problematic. In the rare case that something is wrong with your master, we will discuss the most cost-effective and appropriate resolution with you and will be glad to provide whatever services we can to fix the problem and put the project back on track.
Maximum program lengths vary by format. For CDs, the maximum length is 79 minutes and 45 seconds. We do not recommend any program lengths over 74 minutes and will require you to release us from any liability for quality of duplication for programs over 74 minutes in length.

Media Conversion and Restoration

Ah, the good ol’ days when you put on a vinyl album or cassette, kicked back, and listened to your favorite music. Without warning comes this new-fangled CD thing and all the rules change. While we hope you will agree the CD has changed things for the better, not all of the great audio memories of the past have been (or will be) re-mastered and released in digital format. This is where IAMD can come to the rescue. With our state-of-the–art digital restoration tools, we can take your favorite cuts from your favorite vinyl album or cassette and transfer them to CD. At the same time we can often increase the clarity of the original recording. We can reduce, or often completely eliimate the ticks and pops inherent in old vinyl and assemble a custom CD for you.
